Botanical name ALOE BARBADENSISEnglish : Alovera  Tamil : Kathazhaei Malayalam : Katervazha  Hindi : Kumari Aloevera has the miraculous healing virtues of a medicinal  plants and their practical application is within the reach of every one.

It is used for headache and constipation. Dry and powder the leaf pulp. 
Mix two pinches of the powder, with equal quantity of turmeric powder 
and dissolve in ¼ cup of water and drink.It is used for sore eyes. Slit 
the leaf lengthwise and expose pulp. Place the leaf on each eye with pulp touching the eyes and bandage at night for 3 days
It is used for cough. Fry ½ teaspoon of pulp in half teaspoon of ghee.
Eat with little sugar in the morning, noon, and night for 3 days.
It is used for cuts and wounds. Take the pulp by splitting the leaf and
exposing the pulp apply on the wounds. Repeat twice daily till wounds
heals.It is a liver tonic. Crush leaf pulp or whole plant to extract juice.
Take two tsp of juice thrice a day with sugar or honey for seven days. 
It is alsoused in preparing face creams. Cleaning the face with
the pulp gives a soft texture to the face.
